I have found this course both inspiring and uplifting and can genuinely say that it’s the best course I have ever done. Unlike many training courses where the content is soon forgotten I have found the coaching most useful in its practicality. Since our final very motivational weekend in Dublin, I am finding since I focused on what I want more of in terms of business, it has landed on my desk without any huge effort. The main effort has been networking and telling people I had finished this fantastic personal and business coaching course. I had made a decision towards the end of the course to concentrate on executive coaching rather than personal. To this end, the briefs have been from The Bank of Ireland- a local branch requiring motivational lunch time seminars, an entrepreneur requiring organisation, stress and time management coaching, an MD requiring a E3,500 make over, 2 sisters from the USA requiring career coaching and an intensive business coaching programme for a deputy head of a large financial services company. I know for sure the course has given me the final polish to pursue higher value business. Whilst I was already well versed in business from my senior years in London this new tool kit will make an immediate difference.

I found the Diploma Course in Personal and Business Coaching with the Irish Lifecoach Institute to be excellent on a number of different levels. The course content challenged me on a daily basis to look beyond the obvious and to find the resources within myself to further develop the skills required in a very busy H.R. Department.
The facilitators promoted huge self awareness together with effective planning on a step by step basis. Good clear communication skills were encouraged, as was the reviewing of decisions taken. My current role in my company is as a Training Supervisor where I train about 70 staff in Fund Services, specifically Transfer Agency/Shareholder Services. The Diploma course has proved to be a huge benefit to me in my Training role as it has totally changed the way I do things! I now train most courses through coaching and facilitation. I have also been able to coach some staff in relation to improving their performance at work which has been very useful. The response from staff to coaching and facilitation has been brilliant, now they get involved and can come up with their own solutions to issues or they get a chance to tell me what they know, not the other way around.
An added benefit has been that I have also been able to more effectively coach staff around workplace issues such as lack of assertiveness, dealing with challenging colleagues etc. The feedback from my course attendees has been hugely positive and I am finding that retention of information and training has been much better since I adapted a coaching framework for the training. The content of the diploma was broad enough to include the set up of coaching practices etc so it has been invaluable. All in all I would recommend the course to anyone involved in a role of training/educating/facilitating etc. Once you start adopting a coaching framework in a training role, the stress levels and exhaustion go down and the retention rate and job satisfaction goes way up!
